Position Summary
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of construction projects from inception to completion. This includes managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while meeting quality standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of assigned construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track costs, and provide regular financial updates.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Review and approve project documents, drawings, change orders, and submittals.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress and address issues as they arise.
- Facilitate project meetings with owners, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, building codes, safety regulations, and contract requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to maintain project integrity.
- Support and mentor field personnel and ensure effective communication across teams.
- Manage project closeout, including final inspections, punch lists, and documentation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 3- 5 years of experience in construction project management (commercial, industrial, or civil projects preferred).
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
- Strong budgeting, cost control, and scheduling experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
Licenses/Certifications
- OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)
- PMP or CCM certification (a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to visit job sites regularly, including climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- May be required to work in various weather conditions.
